Kazuki Takahashi has passed away

Breaking news- Kazuki Takahashi, the mangaka behind Yu-Gi-Oh has passed away. Japanese news reports indicate it was a snorkeling accident.

I grew up reading Yu-Gi-Oh, and although I was never rich enough to play the card game, I had one of the GBA games that I played religiously.

After Miura, this one hurts as well.

RIP, you will be missed.

Film Review: Spider-Man: Far From Home

He doesn’t want to be famous? Then I’ll make him infamous.

Set after Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home deals with a post Tony, Steve, and Natasha landscape. It’s a smaller film, both in scope and in ambition. That’s not to say it doesn’t have any curveballs to throw though. Oh no. Far From Home is still an engaging, witty, and funny film. And with some of the best post credit stingers in the MCU since the introduction of the Avenger Initiative, it’s safe to say that the future of the MCU, and of Peter Parker himself, is in good hands. ALERT SPOILERS AHEAD!

Avengers: Endgame Review

Here we go… here we fucking go.

Well, here it is. The film that concludes the Infinity Saga, the cumulation of 11 years of storytelling and world building, the sequel to the most successful movie of yesteryear, Endgame has finally hit the big screen. And oh boy, does it live up to the hype and deliver the goods.

Film Review: Shazam!

Edmonton, AB (Sunday, September 28), 10:00 pm MST The third annual Edmonton Comic & Entertainment Expo (Edmonton Expo) concluded today in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, after welcoming more than 47,000 fans over three days – a 20,000 increase over 2013. Attendance exceeded the expectations of show presenters, who estimated the show would attract 35,000, suggesting that Edmonton Expo’s growth will be something to watch in the coming years. Presenters attribute the increase to a growing movement for people to embrace what makes them ‘geeky’, the expansion of the show to three days (adding Friday evening), increased exhibition space, and an attractive line up of workshops, panels, attractions, and invited guests.
“Edmonton Expo is actually growing at a faster rate than any of the other shows I work with, including the Calgary Expo. Edmonton is a proud nerdy city, and I can’t wait to see how this show grows in the coming years,” said Emily Expo, Edmonton Expo’s host and spokesperson, who also represents Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo, and Saskatoon Comic & Entertainment Expo. “The tremendous growth of this convention is a true testament of the passion and dedication of our fans, volunteers, exhibitors, and guests. We’re so proud of how the nerd community has come together to create this fantastic event.”
